KARACHI, Jun 27: Two ships carrying containers and furnace oil were berthed during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Eight ships, Ibn Sina, CMA CGM Sambhar, Berenice, Ataqa, Eastern Tera, Belsize Park, Vema Ocean and Venus, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, magnesium, phosphoric acid, furnace oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 74,240 tons comprising 58,192 tons of import and 16,048 tons of export tonnage was handled.

CMA CGM Sambhar and Eastern Tera sailed out while Ibn Sina and Belsize Park were expected to depart on Friday.
