Lawyers’ weekly protest

By Our Correspondent

HYDERABAD, June 26: Lawyers boycotted courts on Thursday under a weekly-protest call given by the Pakistan Bar Council and Supreme Court Bar Association to press their demand for reinstatement of deposed judges.

Wearing black armbands and shouting slogans they held a rally, which started the civil court and terminated at the starting point after marching on different roads.

The vice-president of the Hyderabad District Bar Association (HDBA) Abdul Khaliq Leghari, secretary HDBA Nisar Durrani and other leaders said that the long march would prove to be the last nail in the dictators’ coffin and the day was not far when Nov 2 judiciary would be restored and people would get justice.
