ISLAMABAD, June 25: Five persons suffered burn injuries when a taxi in which they were travelling in caught fire after colliding with another vehicle here on Wednesday night.

Police said five persons, including a man, his wife and daughter, were coming to Islamabad from Kahuta in a taxi. When they reached Sihala College, the car collided with another vehicle and overturned. As a result, the taxi caught fire.

People from the nearby area rushed towards the car and pulled out the passengers from the burning vehicle. Later three of them were shifted to Pims where they are stated to be stable.

The police said it was yet to be ascertained under what circumstances the incident took place. Apparently the taxi overturned after colliding with another vehicle.
