SHIKARPUR, June 25: The Shikarpur district council passed a budget of Rs2.395 billion for the year 2008-09 here on Wednesday.

According to the break-up, Rs1,659.098 million has been allocated for the salaries, Rs235.436 million earmarked for non-salary budget component, Rs376 million for completion of ongoing development schemes, Rs94 million for new development schemes, and Rs31.333 million for Citizens Community Board schemes.
