KARACHI, June 25: Three ships carrying containers, edible oil and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24l hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

In the meantime, two more vessels with containers and edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Maersk Delano, Sea Land Patriot, Alexi-3, Berenice, Ataqa, Royal Crystal, Gama Tank and Venus, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, edible oil, diesel oil and iron ore.

Cargo handling was active at the wharves where a total tonnage of 72,328 tons comprising 51,554 tons of import and 20,774 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sea Land Patiot and Maersk Delano sailed out while Alexi-3 and Royal Crystal were expected to depart on Wednesday.
