KARACHI, June 24: Diya Women’s Football Club was awarded a walkover while the match between Colony Women’s Football Club and Sindh Soccerites was postponed on day three of the first National Inter-club women’s football Karachi zone championship on Tuesday.

Diya WFC picked up another three points when opposing side Karachi Dolphins failed to show up for the second consecutive time for their match at the Aga Khan Gymkhana on Tuesday evening.

Karachi Dolphins have now been disqualified from the championship by match commissioner Hassan Baloch.

Meanwhile, the match between Colony WFC and Sindh Soccerites that was to take place in the morning at the Colony Sports Stadium has been moved to Wednesday morning as it was coinciding with the players’ intermediate examinations.

Wednesday’s fixture:

Colony WFC v Sindh Soccerites at Colony Sports Stadium at 9.00am.
