Three wanted men killed in ‘encounter’

GUJRANWALA, June 24: Local police killed three alleged kidnappers in a `shootout’ in Sadhoke on Tuesday night.

A CIA team reportedly chased the accused after they drove away with a car from Khiali area and intercepted them in Sadhoke.

Police said the ensuing gunbattle left the accused dead. Identifying them as Ikram, Abbas Butt and Faiz, police claimed that they were wanted in 25 criminal cases, most of them kidnap for ransom.
