KOHAT: Taliban kill ‘dacoit’ in Kohat

KOHAT, June 24: The local Taliban killed an alleged dacoit and threw his body in Darra Adamkhel bazaar on Tuesday.

The victim was identified as Mastan and the body was taken by his family members for burial.

The Taliban also paraded three alleged kidnappers in the Darra Adamkhel bazaar, who announced not to commit any “sin or crime” in the future and would live a peaceful and Islamic way of life.

The accused were arrested by the local Taliban during a raid at a den in Mattani area of Peshawar a few days back and four abducted persons were released from their custody. The accused belonged to North Waziristan, Mattani and Charsadda.

After kidnapping the four persons, the accused kidnappers sent messages for ransom to the families of the kidnapped persons on behalf of a local Taliban commander. —Correspondent
