PAF jet crashes

ISLAMABAD, June 21: The Pakistan Air Force says one of its fighter jets has crashed on a training flight.

An air force spokesman says the Chinese-made FT-7 aircraft went down because of technical problems near Faisalabad early Saturday.

He says the pilot and his trainer ejected from the plane safely. There are no reports of injuries or damage on the ground.

The spokesman declined to be named citing air force policy.

Earlier this month, a T-37 air force jet crashed near Mardan, killing the pilot.—AP
