Three killed in twin cities

RAWALPINDI, June 21: Three persons were killed in separate incidents in various areas of the twin cities here on Saturday.

According to police, in the first incident a young man - Azhar - was allegedly shot dead by two persons over an old enmity.

Police have registered a murder case against Ghulam Nabbi and Azhar Khan for killing Azhar.

In the second incident, Hakeem Muhammad Azam, 65, was found dead in his store at Bahbra Bazaar.

According the autopsy report, he was strangulated to death but the family members of the deceased told the police that they no enemy.

Our Staff Reporter from Islamabad adds: A boy was killed after being hit by a bullet here on Saturday, when a pistol during its cleaning by his brother went off accidentally, police said.

The incident occurred at Shakrial, where Abdul Shakoor, 10, suffered a bullet injury in his head when his elder brother was cleaning the pistol.

Shakoor died on the spot. Later, the body was shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) for postmortem.
