Nine of a family killed in accident

QUETTA, June 18: Nine members of a family were killed and four others injured when a trailer fell on two vehicles at the Boghara road in Chaman on Wednesday.

Qila Abdullah DPO Wazir Khan Nasar said six people were killed on the spot and three others succumbed to injuries in a hospital. The injured were stated to be in a serious condition.

Sources said that the trailer carrying edible goods for Nato forces in Afghanistan was going from Quetta to Kandahar.

Police said driver of the trailer fled after the accident.

Police personnel and people of the area shifted bodies and injured to the civil hospital, Chaman.

Police said that a bumpy and broken road may have caused the accident.

The deceased were identified as Haji Aaluddin, Haji Mohammad, Haji Dur Mohammad, Abdul Shakoor, Asmatullah, Asadullah, Wazir, Ehsanullah and Ghulam Mohammad.
