MIRPURKHAS: Gas supply to hospital disconnected

MIRPURKHAS, June 18: The working of different sections of Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas, including operation theatre and laboratory, has been adversely affected as gas connection of the hospital has been disconnected due to non-payment of dues.

Due to non-payment of Rs500,000 dues, the Sui Southern Gas Company disconnected the connection few days ago as a result work in surgical ward, operation theatre and laboratory has been badly affected.

When contacted, Civil Surgeon Dr Roshan Ali Bhatti said that there were five gas connections in the hospital and over Rs500,000 was outstanding on the main connection which was to be paid by the district government.

He said that after disconnection of gas supply, the hospital was facing difficulties.

He appealed to the district nazim to solve the problem on humanitarian grounds by making the payment of dues.

WATER SHORTAGE: Some parts of the city are facing water shortage for the last one week. The areas deprived of water include Walkart, Lalchandabad and Pak, Rajar, Ghosia and Mir Allah Bachayo colonies.
