KARACHI, June 17: Teenager Mannan Aftab smashed a superb century to guide Rafiq Sherazi Memorial Cricket Club to the KCCA Inter-club Cricket Championship quarter-finals, beating Karachi Gymkhana by 35 runs at the KG Ground on Monday.

Mannan hammered nine boundaries in his 107 and Mushtaq Afridi cracked 60 as Rafiq Sherazi posted 258 all out in 38.1 overs. Farhan Arif grabbed four wickets for 36. Karachi Gymkhana, in reply, could reach 223 before being dismissed in 34.3 overs. Ali Talpur made 59.

In the other match played at the TMC Ground, Tapal Cricket Club defeated Dawood Sports by 65 runs.
