KARACHI, June 17: Four ships scheduled to load/offload containers, cement, phosphoric acid and diesel oil were berthed during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, four more ships to load/offload containers, cement and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Nine ships, Rosa-M, Maersk Missouri, Mustafa Bey, Sinal, Santiago, Ginga Lion, Al-Soor-II, Bum China and Jin Yuan, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, palm oil, diesel oil, chemicals and coke.

A cargo volume of 104,000 tons comprising 83,000 tons of import and 21,000 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Maersk Nissouri, Rosa-M and Ginga Lion sailed out while Al-Soor-II was expected to depart on Tuesday.
