Four killed in bomb attack

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, June 16: Four people, including a child, were killed and three others were injured when unidentified assailants lobbed a bomb into a mosque here on Monday evening.

Police said that the explosive device was thrown into the mosque when people were offering prayer.

Soon after the attack, law-enforcement personnel cordoned off the mosque in Mohalla Roshan Charagh of the city.

The injured were taken to the district headquarters hospital.

The deceased were identified as Zaheer Abbas, Ijaz Hussain, Tanveer Shah and Waqasul Hassan.

Tension ran high in the area after the incident.
