Aussie seamer claims T20 hat-trick
LONDON, June 16: Australian left-arm seamer Dirk Nannes claimed a hat-trick to help Middlesex to a seven-wicket victory over Essex in the English Twenty20 Cup on Sunday.
The 32-year-old Victorian bowled Varun Chopra and former Zimbabwe Test player Grant Flower before completing his hat-trick by trapping Ryan ten Doeschate.
That left Essex on 20 for five at the end of the fifth over after Nannes had earlier yorked Jason Gallian with his fifth delivery.
Essex made 132 with Nannes finishing with four for 28 from his four overs. Middlesex cruised to 133-3 off 16.1 overs.
