PMC students’ issue still alive

FAISALABAD, June 16: Trade organizations and members of Rabita Ulema-i-Pakistan (RUP) have threatened to launch a protest campaign against the Punjab Medical College administration if Ahmedi students were readmitted to the academia.

Addressing a press conference, representatives of RUP and trade bodies said the PMC administration had rusticated 23 Ahmedi students on charges of preaching their faith in the institution.

They said, however, reports were there that the management was going to restore them on the pressure of the Punjab governor, which would be resisted. — Staff Correspondent
