Five killed in two mine explosions

PARACHINAR, June 15: Five people were killed and six others wounded in two bomb explosions in the Kurram tribal region on Sunday, sources said.

The sources said that a truck was proceeding from Parachinar to Tangai when it hit a roadside bomb near Walai in the Lower Kurram area. Four people – Jamil, Enzerao, Masroor and Shah Abul Hassan – were killed while another was injured and taken to the agency headquarters hospital in Parachinar.

In another incident, one tribesman was killed and five others were wounded when a passenger pick-up struck against a landmine in Laddha area, hospital sources said.
