KARACHI: Job quota for special people

KARACHI, June 14: Sindh Minister for Information Technology Mohammad Raza Haroon has said that he would ask the relevant authorities to ensure an increase and implementation of the job quota for special people.

He was talking to a delegation of the Pakistan Association of Deaf in his office on Saturday. He appealed to all the NGOs working for the welfare of the disabled, as well as philanthropists and donors to come forward and support special people, indicating that the institutions striving for such people’s welfare could not survive without financial support from the community.

The delegation apprised the minister of the problems being faced by special people, and said employment was their main issue.

The interpreter of deaf people, Ms Fazila, told the minister that interpretation service was being initiated for special people to facilitate their communication with other people.—PPI
