KARACHI, June 13: Three ships scheduled to load/offload containers and cement were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, another ship carrying chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Dubai Express, Saudi Tabuk, Mustafa Bey, Sinai, Chitral, Eastern Tear, Sakura Princess and Kaghan, were busy in loading and unloading cement, rice, magnesium, crude oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 62,789 tons comprising 43,910 tons of import and 18,879 tons of export tonnage was handled. Eastern Tear, Sakura Princess, Dubai Express and Saudi Tabuk sailed out.
