KARACHI, June 11: Eleven ships carrying chemical, containers and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where nine ships, Sea Princess and Noor-i-Medina to load cement and clinkers, Mol Ability, Global Prosperity, Seven Seas Aurora, and Cap Colorado to unload and load containers, Ataqa to offload rock phosphate, Taxiarehis and Fantsy-1, tankers, were berthed.

Five ships, Mol Ability, Oel Victory, Lucky Man, Sinar Agra and Mediteranean Carrier sailed out on Wednesday, while Seven Sea Aurora, Cap Colorado and APL Pusan are due to depart on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 89,176 tons comprising 43,584 tons of export cargo and 45,592 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Bengal Orchid with chemicals, Golden Brilliance to load ethanol, Full Rieh with general cargo, Blida, Lucky Arrow, Fu Ning Hai, Bunga Terasek, Hyundai Admiral, Calvin P. Titus, Habnjin Qingdao and Cosco Lian Yun and Gang with containers.
