PENSACOLA (Florida), June 10: Banned sprinter Justin Gatlin filed a lawsuit on Monday in a last-ditch effort to compete at the US Olympic athletics trials in less than three weeks.
The suit was filed in US District Court in Pensacola.
It alleges penalizing Gatlin for a 2001 doping violation that involved medication he was taking for attention deficit disorder is a violation of the Americans with Disability Act.—AP
