KARACHI, June 10: Four ships scheduled to load/offload containers, rice, chemicals and iron ore were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, three more ships carrying containers and coal also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Maersk Virginia, Mustafa Bey, Atlantic Dream, Chitral, Harsandi, Atlantia, Vema Ocean and Kaghan, were busy in loading/offloading cement, rice, chemicals, palm oil, furnace oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 74,827 tons comprising 59,383 tons of import and 15,444 tons of export tonnage was handled.Maersk Virginai, Harsandi, Verna Ocean and Atlantic Dream sailed out while Atlantia was expected to depart.
