KARACHI, June 9: Seven ships carrying rock phosphate containers and to load cement and ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where nine ships, Oel Strength, Pac Antlia, Wan Hai-315, St Irene and Mitra with containers, Bravo-P to load clinkers, Al-Salam-2 with high-speed diesel and DL Clover to offload palm oil were berthed during the last two days.
Sailing was also brisk as Johar, Eric. G. Gibson, Creek, Navaria Express, Keoyoung Prime, Hanjin Chittagong, Merbabu, Chitral, King Brian, Oram Blossom, Iran Baghari and Rhoneborg departed, while DL Clover, Wan Hai-315, St. Irene, Mitra Bhum, Superior Pescadores, Lucky Man and Oel Strength are due to sail out on Tuesday.
A total tonnage of 222,000 tons comprising 65,935 tons of export cargo and 156,000 tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: Chemstar Venus to load ethanol, Higher Trader to load naphtha, Xoh Peak to unload rock phosphate and Hyun Jin Ks-3 to load cement.
