Pakistan bridge pair creates history
KARACHI, June 8: Pakistan created history when Javed Khalid and Saeed Akhtar of the Rawalpindi/Islamabad Bridge Association won the Worldwide Pairs bridge championship which concluded across the globe on Sunday.
Javed and Saeed showed a remarkable tactical performance to grab the unique honour by accumulating 71.97 per cent score in 22-year history of the championship.
Second and third positions were bagged by US pairs of Roger Lee/Chien-Yao Tseng (70.91 per cent) and Carolyne Fox/George Fox (70.21 per cent).
