Gatlin’s appeal rejected
LONDON, June 6: Former world record holder Justin Gatlin had his appeal against a four-year ban for doping rejected by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Friday.
American Gatlin, the 100 metres champion at the 2004 Olympics, tested positive for the banned male sex hormone testosterone and its precursors in 2006 and was banned by an American Arbitration Association panel.—Reuters
