Led by deceased Shaman’s uncle Andal Solangi and brothers Nazeer and Mashooq Solangi protesters kept the body on Dalipota-Tharushah Link Road in protest for about an hour.

They said two groups clashed over a dispute involving children on Tuesday and filed NCs with Dalipota police as people of Mumtaz Solangi influenced police to arrest people of the second group –Andals.

Andal Solangi said area policemen, including ASI Deedar Solangi, ASI Akram Sehto and other police official accompanied by rival group’s Mumtaz, Ghulam Hussain, Ghulam Mustafa and others entered the house of Shaman Solangi and Andal Solangi.

Nazeer and Mashooq, brothers of the deceased said they slipped away when police came but their younger brother Shaman running fever stayed behind. He died of police torture on Wednesday night.

They alleged that police arrested Liaquat Solangi who was injured in the clash between two groups but police were not disclosing his whereabouts.
