GUJRANWALA, June 2: Anti-Terrorism Court-II on Monday rejected the plea of Sibtul Hasan alias Double Shah for shifting his case from ATC to a civil court, besides refusing an acquittal plea of his accomplice Akram in the same case.

Judge Tariq Ifitkhar Ahmad reserved the verdict on another petition filed by the accused for abolishing a section from the case and adjourned the case till June 9.

The accused were brought in the court under tight security, while a number of people who had deposited their money with Sibtul Hasan gathered outside the court.

Meanwhile, ATC-I granted a seven-day physical remand of two accused Ghulam Abas and Mushtaq in a kidnapping for ransom case.
