HYDERABAD, June 2: On the call of local traders’ association, complete strike was observed in Tando Mohammad Khan on Monday in protest against an increase in crime rate.

Business centres and markets including Shahi Bazaar, Chandi Chowk and Station Road remained closed. The traders staged a protest demonstration outside the press club and raised slogans against the district police and administration.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohammad Ali Qureshi, Farooq Memon and other leaders of the businessmen said that due to inefficiency of the police, incidents of robberies were on the increase in the town.

They called on the police to come down with an iron hand against criminals.
