By Our Correspondent

MIRPURKHAS, June 1: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah will distribute prizes among outstanding farmers of the 43rd annual National Mango and Summer Fruits Festival being held here on June 8.

This was stated by Hidayatullah Chhajro, the director general of agriculture research and coordinator of the festival, at a meeting of chairmen of different sub-committees formed to organise the event.

Mr Chhajro said that holding of the mango festival was an honour for Mirpurkhas which had regularly been organising the festival for past 42 years and he asked the growers to ensure their maximum participation in the festival. He said that on June 9 and 10, different sports competitions, including bullock race, a literary gathering and a musical show would be held.
