KARACHI, June 1: A meeting organised by the Karachi Union of Journalists and the Karachi Press Club on Saturday demanded immediate suspension of police officers involved in kidnapping, keeping in illegal detention and torturing senior journalist Hafiz Tariq Mahmood. The meeting, which was addressed by KUJ and KPC leaders, also demanded a judicial inquiry into the incident and severe punishment of those responsible for the crime.
