He was speaking at a workshop on “Research methodology: preparation of research proposal” organised by the Faculty of Arts, University of Sindh, on Saturday.

The scholar said that the selection of a topic and collection of data was an essential aspect and important before starting a research.

He said that universities in Britain had been providing many facilities to scholars coming there to do their research.

He said that presently information related to different disciplines was available on the Internet while a huge collection of international research journals was also available on digital libraries in the cyberspace.

He said that it was important that universities of Pakistan encourage female scholars to do PhD.

The scholar on this occasion highlighted opportunities for research in science, arts and humanities disciplines in universities of UK.
