HYDERABAD, May 29: Deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry would address the members of the Hyderabad District Bar Association (HDBA) on telephone on Friday.

Local lawyers are preparing to participate in the long march commencing from June 10th.

The High Court Bar Association, Hyderabad chapter, has convened a meeting of lawyers of Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Thatta, Badin and adjoining districts on June 4 to finalise a plan for participation in the long march.

The meeting would be held in the HCBA office.

HCBA president Abdul Sattar Kazi said that lawyers had decided to leave for Punjab on June 9 to joint the long march the next day.

Meanwhile, lawyers boycotted court proceedings here on Thursday in response to the call of Pakistan Bar Council and Supreme Court Bar Association as per their weekly protest schedule against sacking of superior court judges.

They said lawyers wanted reinstatement of all judges on their Nov 2, 2007 position.

MIRPURKHAS: Lawyers here have boycotted court proceedings and held general body meeting, demanding of the government to reinstate deposed judges including Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry without any delay.

Chairman Jeay Sindh Mahaz Abdul Khaliq Junejo advocate also attended the meeting of DBA.

Later, a protest rally was taken out from the bar room which after marching on main roads returned back.

DBA Umerkot also boycotted the court proceedings and held general body meeting.
