KARACHI, May 29: Four ships carrying containers, chemicals and iron ore were allotted berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, two more ships with containers and iron ore arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, ACX Tsubaki, CMA CGM Turkey, Shad Wan Island, Wales-II, Earth Song, Qem Star, Navajo Spirit and Venus, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, chemicals, palm oil, crude oil and iron ore.A cargo volume of 76,146 tons comprising 57,047 tons of import and 19,099 tons of export tonnage was handled.

ACX Tsubaki and Earth Song sailed out.
