KARACHI, May 29: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has invited applications from exporters of engineering goods for payment of 25 per cent inland freight subsidy.

According to a TDAP official, the step had been taken in line with the Trade Policy 2007-08 to provide inland freight subsidy to exports of engineering goods to encourage trade diversification.

Export shipments between July 1, 2007 and June 30, 2008, would be eligible to avail 25 per cent inland freight subsidy on actual freight paid from the location of manufacture to Karachi Port, airport or land customs exit points.—APP
