Islamic school proposal rejected
SYDNEY, May 27: An Australian council on Tuesday rejected plans for an Islamic school on Sydney’s outskirts that have stirred controversy and allegations of racism in the local community
A sitting of Camden council rejected the application for a 1,200-pupil school, which has sparked protests from residents in the semi-rural area, one involving up to 1,000 people.—AFP
