KARACHI, May 26: Two ships carrying chemicals and diesel oil were allotted berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, five more ships arrived at the outer anchorage.

Six ships, Shadwan Island, Wales-II, Yanaseni, Jorita, Al Salam and Nord Vision, were busy in loading and unloading cement, chemicals, coal, diesel oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 72,545 tons comprising only imported commodities including coal, diesel oil, chemicals etc., was handled.

Yanaseni sailed out while Al Salam II was expected to depart on Monday.
