Nazimabad Gymkhana reach quarter-finals
KARACHI, May 23: Half-centuries by Farhan Iqbal and Abdus Saad guided Nazimabad Gymkhana to the KCCA Inter-club Cricket Championship quarter-finals, as they outclassed Mir Sports by seven wickets on Thursday.
Farhan hit five boundaries in his 67 and Abdul Saad made an unbeaten 58 with two fours as Nazimabad Gymkhana reached the target of 199 in 29.3 overs for the loss of three wickets.
Earlier, Mir Sports, batting first, were dismissed for 198 in 34.5 overs. Usama Ahmed made 53 with six hits to the boundary.
In the other match played at UBL Sports Complex, Khizra Sports outplayed Sir Syed Cricket Club by 188 runs.
Tariq Haroon hammered a brilliant 143 studded with eight boundaries and three sixes in his team’s win.
