PCB plans to set up academy in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD, May 23: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will set up an academy in Hyderabad to help improve the talented young players of Sindh, country’s cricket board chief said on Friday.

“The PCB has planned to set up an academy in Hyderabad where, under the supervision of former Test captain Mushtaq Mohammad, coaching and training will be provided to youngsters,” said PCB Chairman Dr Nasim Ashraf while talking to journalists during his visit to review the ongoing work at the Sanghar stadium.

The chairman added that the board had also planned to develop 30 new stadiums aimed at giving opportunities to young players for preparing themselves for national and international cricket.

He further said that the PCB has already started the construction of 22 stadiums in different cities while the completion of 30 new stadiums by next year will groom the talented cricketers there besides promoting the game in these cities.—APP
