ISLAMABAD, May 21: Islamabad High Court on Wednesday issued notices to the authorities of the Pakistan Bar Council and Punjab Bar Council to appear on May 28 and apprise it of the affiliation issue of Al Maizan Law College.

The Single Bench comprising Chief Justice Sardar Mohammad Aslam heard the writ petition of various graduates of Al Maizan College.

Rashid Abdul Memon, through counsel Naeem Bukhari, informed the court that the graduates of the college were not allowed by the two bodies to appear in license tests as the law institute did not fulfil their set criteria.

Another single bench of Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan sent Mohammad Sadiq Mughal to jail for his failure to pay money to a petitioner Sultan Khan and for giving a forged cheque..—APP
