Cylinder blast at school

JHANG, May 20: Two teachers and four students received minor burn injuries in a gas cylinder blast at a school in Jhang Sadar on Tuesday morning.

The blast took place in the principal’s office of Roomi Education System School when somebody tried to light a cigarette near a leaking gas cylinder. Teachers Usman and Iqbal and students Hanan, Aqil, Nimra and Faria received minor burn injuries. They were taken to the Jhang DHQ Hospital. The fire burnt the record of the principal’s office.

ACCIDENT: A man was killed while his wife and infant son injured in an accident on Sargodha Road on Tuesday.

Reports said Mohammad Sharif along with his wife, Razia Bibi, and son Aurangzeb was on his way to a village from Jhang Sadar on a motorbike. Near Adhimal, a truck coming from the opposite direction hit their bike. They got hurt and Sharif succumbed to injuries in hospital.
