Two labourers die while digging canal

JACOBABAD, May 19: Two labourers died and another was injured while digging a canal near Mehran Shah village in Badani area of Kashmore district on Monday.

Reports said three labourers were digging a canal when huge chunk of mud fell and buried them all. Two labourers Barkat Mazari and Dad Mohammad Golab died on the spot while Mohammad Kehar sustained injuries but managed to come out.

Badhani police took bodies and injured to hospital. The injured was out of danger. The heirs of deceased persons were handed over the bodies after autopsy. No FIR was lodged till the filing of this report.

In Khairpur district, a minor girl was killed and her sister injured when a wall collapsed on them in Pato village, taluka Faiz Ganj on Monday.

Nine-year-old Fazila and three-year-old Waziran were playing outside when wall of their house colapsed killing Fazila on the spot and seriously injuring Waziran who was admitted to a hospital in Karondi.
