LARKANA, May 19: Ubedullah Buledi and Tariq Sattar Bhatti, Muttahida Qaumi Movement candidates from NA-207 (Larkana- IV), have withdrawn their candidature in favour of Faryal Talpur of the PPP.

Accompanied by Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro and MQM MPA Hargundas, Mr Buledi and Mr Bhatti came to the office of returning officer Jan Mohammed Kalhoro in Ratodero on Monday and withdrew their nomination papers.

Election on the National Assembly seat is scheduled for June 26. During Feb 18 polls, the election was not held because of assassination of Pakistan People’s Party chairperson Benazir Bhutto, who was the most prominent aspirant from the constituency.

NA-207 is the traditional constituency of the Bhutto family as Ms Benazir Bhutto and her father Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had been contesting election from here and winning with big margin.
