KARACHI: Three arrested for cellphone snatching

KARACHI, May 19: Three bandits were held for snatching a cellphone from a pedestrian in the Garden area on Monday.
Police said the bandits robbed Maqsood Ahmed of his mobile phone on Siddiqui Wahab Road before fleeing.
The victim immediately informed the police, who rushed to the scene and chased the outlaws on his direction. The bandits were intercepted near Dhobi Ghat. After a brief shootout, police arrested two of the outlaws, identified as Abdul Nadim Baloch alias Abdul Rashid and Saddam Hussain, and recovered a mouser, a TT pistol, two magazines, six cartridges and a motorcycle (KBO-553) from their possession.
