Dollar gains
LONDON, May 19: The dollar turned sharply stronger against the euro here on Monday as the US suggested that the slowdown in the domestic economy might be limited and not as bad as many have feared, dealers said.
The single European currency in late day trade was at $1.5503, down sharply from $1.5619 earlier on Monday.—AFP
