He was responding to Punjab government’s joint venture investment initiative of establishing the zone during a visit to Punjab’s commerce and investment department here on Saturday.

The OPF Special Economic Zone would be set up near Islamabad, in collaboration with the federal government.

Punjab Commerce and Investment Secretary Tahir Raza Naqvi briefed the delegation about the initiatives of the provincial government for facilitation of foreign investors.

Another special economic zone is being developed on Lahore-Sialkot Motorway with the Qatari investment and yet another near Kala Shah Kaku on Lahore Motorway with Chinese investor Haier Ruba.
