HYDERABAD, May 16: A large number of students boycotted their classes following the arrest of a student of Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam, Asadullah Veesar by police on Friday. They blocked Hyderabad-Mirpurkhas Road for quite a time.

Reports said law enforcement agencies reached there and resorted to violence against students. They also tortured a point bus driver when he refused to hand them keys of the bus.

This infuriated the university employees who joined the students in blocking the road. The blockade was later cleared by the law enforcement agencies.

Sources said Students Action Committee and employees had convened separate meetings for Saturday to chalk out future course of action.
