Gambhir steers Daredevils to 194-4

NEW DELHI, May 15: Gautam Gambhir scored his fifth half-century of the tournament while Shikhar Dhawan scored his fourth as Delhi Daredevils reached 194-4 against Hyderabad Deccan Chargers in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Feroz Shah Kotla Ground here on Thursday.

Gambhir scored a sensational 79 off 48 deliveries but some tight bowling from Vijaykumar along with some smart fielding ensured that Delhi did not cross the 200-mark.

Earlier, Hyderabad skipper Adam Gilchrist won the toss and sent Delhi Daredevils in to bat in the match that the visitors would be desperate to win, just for pride if nothing else.

In that direction, they brought the mercurial Shahid Afridi back into the side.

Delhi, who also need to win to keep their semi-finals hopes alive, have made several changes in the side, with Rajat Bhatia, Dinesh Karthik and Mohammad Asif coming back into the playing XI.
