MITHI, May 15: PPP Coordinator, Tharparkar district, Sharjil Inam Memon has hinted at tabling a no-trust resolution against the Arbab group’s nazim and taluka nazims of Mithi, Diplo, Nagarparkar, and Chhachhro to end its dominance in Thar. He said the group they failed to come up to the expectations of people by remaining dormant.

Speaking to journalist at the Circuit House on Wednesday in the presence of the PPP Tharparkar chapter leaders he said: “PPP does not believe in the politics of victimization and vows to serve the masses without taking into consideration their party affiliations while those inflicting excess on people of Thar would be taken to task.”

“Arbab Ghulam Rahim has never been sincere with his people and if he thinks himself to be loyal then he should come back and solve the problems of his constituency,” Mr Memon said and added: “We will not take political revenge from anyone but remove from here the corrupt officials.”

A committee consisting notables of the area, PPP activists, and journalists will be formed with the request to chief minister to send a minister every month for holding an open Katchehry to address the grievances of the dwellers of the backward region of Thar, he added.

“Thar is a hot belt with no industrial units, while long-duration load-shedding is being carried out multiplying the miseries of people,” he said adding: “Hesco high-ups will be contacted to shorten load-shedding duration while an increase in wheat quota for Thar from 10,000 bags and steps to attendance of teachers at schools will be looked into.”
