KARACHI, May 15: Five ships scheduled to load/offload containers, coal, palm oil and diesel oil were allotted berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Seven ships, ACX Jasmine, Bernice, Helen, Doris, Al-Salam-II and Kaghan, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, coal, palm oil, diesel oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 97,982 tons comprising 89,251 tons of import and 8,731 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Nord Voyager, Al-Salam-II and ACX Jasmine sailed out while Hellen was due to depart.
